#15

I still can't wrap my head around it! How the hell I became a full-time student?! I didn't plan it, that's for sure. But I got this idea, in the back of my head and then I sent an email, went for an interview and bum! I'm a Fashion Styling student :D

Let's go back to the day I went for another interview. It was a job interview for an office assistant after which I knew I don't want to spend my whole day in front of the desk, answering phones and dealing with complaints and queries. No! No! No! I felt it in every part of my body, I don't want to stay here. I don't wanna do what I was doing before either. I lost my enthusiasm although I was pretty sure that I'm going in the right direction.

I got an extra push from my career counselor and I sent an email to college with the question if I can still apply for this year although the course has started already. On the next day, I went for an interview, showed my artwork and became a Fashion student. I cried all the way back home from happiness and gratitude, amazed how everything, my dreams, words, actions, has brought me to this very moment.
I'm so excited about the future! As much as I'm excited about how my life looks now :D

Day 87

Dear Diary,

Our big adventure in Las Palmas is nearly finish. Tomorrow is our last day :( I can't believe how fast these three months went by! It was an amazing experience to live our dream life. No hassle, no rush, just excellent weather ( mostly :P ) , beach, sea , delicious food ,and of course beautiful people we met! Our budget shrunk "a little" during these three months, but no money is too big for what we experienced!
I will definitely miss Las Palmas, in particular I'll miss our new friends, and I hope we'll see you again some day!!! Muchas gracias for everything!!! ❤ ❤

with love,
Mags

Gran Canaria - here we come!

It's my last week at work. OMG!!! I'm so scared and excited at the same time. I spend almost 5 years in that place and I'm grateful for every year , for my kind and not too demanding bosses ;) , for people I met in my work, for new friendships, and for all experience I gained as an fitness instructor. But now is the time to say goodbye and hope for the best in the future.

Changes are good, and I'm very positive about it. They are not easy, and I guess not many people like them , but I think, changes build our character, enrich our personality. It's like a jump into cold water. It's terrifying, but you know afterwards you'll be like - Hmpf!! That was easy. And you could do it again. ;)

So, there is a big adventure ahead of me and I'm going to make the most of it :)

Work Song

Hi guys!

Yesterday was a big day for me! My next dream came true! I went to the studio to record a song!!!
How cool is that?!!! :D
I got the voucher for Christmas from my husband,  2 hours vocal experience in a real recording studio. At first I was terrified with that idea because I wasn't sure if I'm good enough for it, but on the other hand, I was very excited to hear how my voice will sound in a studio with professional musical arrangements.

So when I finally decided on which song I'll sing, I was working hard to sound good when the time comes ;)

Dream BIG! :D

He who doesn't risk never gets to drink champagne

Did I hesitate? Yes , I did. That was exactly a week after I said to my bosses I'm going to leave.  So, I guess , it was already too late to change my mind? Haha!
Sometimes is just hard to do something different, leave things you know behind , do something  unexpected , break scheme,  go out from your comfort zone. But man, it feel so good!!! Scary though, but so so good!
Expect unexpected!
Less then 3 months left to our big adventure!!! Whoop! Whoop! I'm so excited!
We don't have much to prepare at that stage. Everything is almost ready. :)

My list:

* find destination
* resign from work!
* find nice apartment beside the beach
* find a new home for 3 months for our parrots aka fluffy friends
* sort it our things with cars&stuff
* clean wardrobe - still in progress
* tell our moms about the adventure
* refresh/paint our apartment
* prepare summer clothes!!! :D

I'm so ready for that!!!

Magic happens outside your comfort zone

One day I realized that I'm stuck. Can life offer me something more or this is it?
We are born, we go to school, we find safe work we don't like, we get married, apply for mortgage to pay it off in the next 35 years (!!!) or less if we are lucky , have kid or two and then watch how they follow the same path.
Well, maybe there is nothing wrong with that and yet almost everyday I have that unshakeable feeling that there has to be something more! I see it through my ''glass ceiling''. It so close and yet so far away!

I watched few inspiring movies, read dozen wise books and thousand articles which said:

You can do anything!
You can be whoever you want!
Follow your passion and live your dream life!

So I asked myself: What would I do to change my life?
Would I dare to risk?
Then I started to wonder: What life I would like to live? What is my boldest dream? Am I brave enough to break that ''glass ceiling'' and step out from the ''safe path''? Am I brave enough to quit my work, sell my stuff and chase my dream with one suitcase?

I always wanted to live in some nice warm country beside the beach, and since we decided to do that all pieces started to fall into place. It's unbelievable how many things might happen just in one week! Haha! Crazy!

So we are leaving Dublin in the end of July! I'm so excited and scared at the same time but I know this is the right decision, because if not now ,then when?!!!!

It's never too late to pursue your dreams!!!

As a little girl, I always liked to follow Olympic sports on TV. Figure skating and Gymnastics where my favorite disciplines.

What I liked most about Figure skating& Gymnastics were those fancy pirouettes, splits, and all acrobatic movements. It always looks so gracefulness and effortless when somebody is doing it!
It's absolutely amazing how you can train your body!

In my family home we have tiles on the hallway , and I used to slide on the tiles surface in my socks pretending I'm a figure skater. Once even I hurt my chin while doing pirouettes and to this day I have a small scar. That's how my career as figure skater started! Haha!
As a teenager I tried real ice skating and I need to say, I was doing really well. Few times I participated in inter-school competitions!
I guess practising on the tiles helped me a lot :D

Generally I always liked to be active. That's why I became a fitness instructor.
For me there is nothing better in the world then to be able to do cartwheel and handstand! :)

Few times I was thinking to join a gymnastic club, but that pessimistic voice in my head  ( yes, I hear voices! haha ) says:
"Don't be silly, you are too old for this! You are not flexible enough. Why you want to do that? You might break your neck or leg or something else. It's better to stay at home. Beside it's too far. You will never become a gymnast anyway ,so don't waist your time!

Sounds familiar?

Now I know it's just a bullshit story that I was telling myself over and over again. Why? Because I wasn't brave enough to give it a go. But if not now, then when?!  Life is too short!!  And I would much rather try and fail then regret not trying at all!

Last Friday I went for my first class and I got hooked straight away!
We where doing flips, cartwheels and practising somersault and many more acrobatic movements! Wow! It was so tough and challenging but I knew I was born for this!
I can't even express how happy and proud of myself I am :D It was hard to ignore that nasty dark voice in my head but I did it! I put myself , my happiness and my dreams on the first place.

Are you brave enough to chase your dreams?

It's time to say goodbye

Our American Dream Holidays are getting to the end.

Today Miami woke us up with a heavy rain, but that was very refreshning and something different after 2 weeks of sunny weather. We had a time to do finall shopping and for the last time walk through Collins Avenue.

Two full weeks on the Miami Beach!!!
 I feel happy&fulfilled :)

It's time to say goodbye USA & to pack our suitcases.
On Saturday morning I will be back in Dublin.

Saturday, 31 January 2015

Don't tell people your dreams. Show them!

Welcome to Miami!!!

It was my BIG dream to go to Miami and it will still last for another week.
The weather is perfect and the Miami beach is just amazing!

Few days ago we went to look for Dexter apartment. It turned out that he "used to live" not far from our hotel. So we rented bikes and in the next 20 minutes we were in fromt of his movie condo :D

That was fun but unfortunatelly he wasn't there at the time :P

And here some more picture from the first week of our holidays.

Dreams DO come true!
